Performers

System7 -England (Trance/Techno/Electronica)

This band is often seen around the world to larger dance events and they are formally known from band Gong, an experimenting band from the 70ies. Their style varies between trance, techno and progressive house with a unique sound to make their music psychedelic, without making it psytrance. Definitely a show that will take people to the dance floors!!

Praful
- Holland (Nu-Jazz / Electronica / Down-tempo)

There’s probably not many in DK who’s heard of Praful. He plays a large selection of instruments such as flute and saxophone. He plays it over some deep and funky baselines with a dash of global jazz and bossanova rhythms that makes the music a breath of fresh air.
He finds inspiration from all over the world, and offers European, Brazilian and Indian elements to his style.
Here we can talk about a very productive and respected person With his band, that Odinstown can be very proud of presenting. Overall, seven band members with the same number of albums in the shops, who will definitely seduce the audience with their dreamy music and who knows, maybe get them up swinging here and there!

Nicolai Maruhama
- Japan (Progressive, Jazz, Experimental)

An artist from Japan with the European artist name Nicolai Maruhama, has fallen in love with Odinstown, and we’re definitely also in love with him!
In an emotional, fast and humoristic way, he mixes jazz with balkanrythms, electronica, rock and folk music -this will give the listener a feeling of beeing dragged around by theirs noses, with a 100 kilometres pr. hour! A funky, crazy and sometimes dark sound and vision, straight from the heart. From Japan to Holland, through myspace and back, an amazing collaboration has been blossoming with Dr. Goldklang. This will definitely leave the audience with open mouths and numb, vibrating ears. We are very proud to be able to create an forum for these 2 artist to meet live for the first time, and we´re so looking forward to see and hear Nicolai solo on MUSIKBIBLIOTEKET, and live with Dr. Goldklang and his Medicine show at Amfiestage.

Doctor Goldklang
- Holland (Electronica / ambient /alternative)

This playmate pretends to be a doctor and shows up to cure Odinstown with his medicine show. He obviously finds a lot of fun and pleasure in playing at home with software and hardware on stage. He´s gathered a band, consisting of 2 great singers with healing voices, an inventive drummer and a saxophonist with surgeon fingers. Himself is the chief of staff, producing, organizing and handles the electronics and keybords. We´re very excited to hear and feel his healing prescriptions, and we´re quite sure that it´ll be loving, crazy, funky and psychedelic! As a special guest virus, shows Nicolai Mahurama from  Japan -and an explosive cure to all evils will occur!

Hess Is More
- København (Electro / Jazz)

Even though Hess is More a.k.a. Mikkel Hess is an unknown name for most people, it´s definately not a novice we´re dealing with here. On top of an education from the Danish Rythmic Conservatory, he´s a composer for the Royal Danish Theater, Danmarks Radio, and the filmschool. As a drummer and composer he´s contributed on several publications. Genrewise he´s moving widely around. The exitpoint is electronica, but his music carries sounds from places that´s probably never seen a labtop. Often you find a cool, steril tone in electronica, but here you find a warm and exotic atmosphere in the tunes and melodies. Along with peculiar sounds, vocal hooklines and homemade beats, his music is big, melancolic, funny and filmic! A Mustsee!!

Ave
- Odense (Indie/Emo/Alternative)

Ambitious, symphonic and beatifull popmusic from Odense. 4 guys who´s definately heard a lot of Kashmir, Radiohead and maybe also Tindersticks and Sigur Ros. The classic rock-crew is supported by electronics and strings, and the ideas that´s been sqashed down on their album is almost limitless. From the first tone it´s catchy and atmospheric to the point that you hardly notice how many details that´s going on in the mixes. Things that should make it difficult and demanding to listen to, but now just works as extra spoiling to the returning listener.

Rumskib - Odense (Indie / Shoegaze / Ambient )

Rumskib from Odense has refound and recreated the Shoegaze tradition, and on their debut album it´s Louises´ volnerable vocal and the dreamy and explosive guitar, that makes it so succesfull for them. Theese artist is clearly inspired by names like My Bloody Valentine, Lush and Slowdive!

DJ Disse -København (Electronica/Lounge/Dub)

"If sampling is a crime, I´m guilty" -DJ Disse

This man from the recordcompany "Music for dreams", with an album on the streets just now, is visiting our Air-lounge stage, as the man who connects everything! Since 95 he´s been a DJ and since 2006 a fulltime producer. His resume is impressive, for one he is a bandmember of  Djuma soundsystem -Les Djins, then he´s contributed with tracks to The Grand Lounge, Buddha Bar and other compilations. Besides that, he has been working with names suchs as Buda Banzai Republic, Kenneth Bager, Moby, Trentemoller, Laid Back, Pharphar and others. His music is a pleasant universe of electronics, loops and sampling from reggae beats, balkan melodies and arabic rythms, produced by himself in his homestudio.

Samuraj Cities - Sweden (Indie/Big Beat/Black Metal)

"Swedens hope for a new beginning"

Promising debut album, "Cheap Deluxe", had super reviews in most bigger Swedish newspapers -After this, they went to conquer the world! And with some bombastic shows in London, Bruxelles, Paris, Amsterdam and Dublin, so they did. With their catchy melodies, dramatic vocal, electronic synth and folk-inspired elements, they interpretate the indie genre in a whole new way. We hope they´ll blow us away at post1.

Before you die - Sweden (Alternative/ Folk/ Blues)

This trio is inspired of anything from pop to Piaff. They´re playing desert bluesy banjo driven music with a shimmering but sometimes evil electric guitar and a frustrated but sad vocal on top.

It´s like 16 Horsepower bumped into Jon Spencer Blues Explosion in Tom Waits´backyard!

Termostat - Danmark (Hip Hop / Pop Punk / Electroacoustic)

Through the tones of jazz, balkan, hiphop, sick pop, balkan, gospel and rock, the poet and songwriter Brian Lindskov Larsen, beautifully tells stories about life in the provins, death, love, major and minor catastrophies and as always, pirates. The songs, text and music, is grasping towards the outskirts of the world and the soul, meanwhile an intense ambivalent feeling towards Odense and it´s citizens is vibrating between the lines. Minimal poet readings accompanied by quiet piano or massive musical let-outs, the city is descriped intensely as other big poets has descriped Copenhagen or Aarhus... It´s intelligent, it´s tragic and often very very funny.

DJ Dajim - Germany (Techno/House/Country)

Germany based deejay and producer dAjim nourishes a long and intense love for electronic music.
In the midninetines, while still playing in a punkband with school mates,
he could witness both the death of hardtrance as we knew it, as well as many wonderful moments created by deep and minimal techno. This experience haunted him through the years until finally he began to spin vinyl as well as produce his own tunes.
By now he played his reduced yet driving style at several venues in and
around southern Germany, as well as on some radio stations. He even hosted a weekly show at mth.electro for one year, but dropped it to have more production time at hand.

Brune Morfar
- Odense (Avantgarde/Xperimental/Postpunk/Spoken word)

Theese guys from Odense is worth the time, check them out! An almost undefiable and absurd music is tracked over their own poems in dirty and interesting collages of sound, pointing towards a new and deform expression. One thing is for sure, 2 tracks will never be played the same way, this is why they´re such a good live experience!!

Kroner Toner ( Jazz / Alternative / Experimental )

A young band from Odense, starring Lise Kroner as talented vocalist, has developed itself in a very interesting direction. The volume is subdued wich makes you listen to the intense and understated performance... and it works... listen and let yourself be seduced into their peculiar and original tune. Following this band and that subtile beautifull vocal in their future, will be so exciting.

DJ Lundgren

This guy has remarked himself as one of the most dedicated and succesful organisors within the electronic music stage in Odense since the mid 90íes. Through his work as DJ he´s been around the best clubs in DK and in big parts of Europe. You might have heard his own music at events like "Odense on Fire" and other local events, but also at the "Nordberg Festival" in Sweden. You can expect experimenting collages of sound connceted with mysterious beats and atmosphaeric melodiousness.
